Introducing Kanat Sharsheev: a native of the Kyrgyz Republic in Central Asia, whose journey to discover his true passion has been as diverse as his cultural background. Kanat embarked on a path of self-discovery, dedicating years to intensive training in Aikido and completing professional massage school. His academic pursuits led him to a BA in International Relations at the Institute of Oriental Languages and Cultures in Bishkek.

In 2005, Kanat made a life-changing move to the USA, where he continued his education at the Year Up Computer Program, graduating in 2008. Subsequently, he contributed his skills to the Inova Health Care System for several years. Yet, amidst the hustle of the corporate world, a void persisted.

The missing piece fell into place when Kanat discovered PMTI (Potomac Massage Training Institute). In 2022, he graduated from one of the country’s premier massage training schools, reigniting his passion for massage therapy. Currently, Kanat practices as a licensed Massage Therapist in Chevy Chase, MD.

What sets Kanat apart is his unique blend of massage therapy philosophies and training from both American and Asian traditions. Enriched by years of Aikido practice, he possesses a profound understanding of the human body’s anatomy, movement, and its remarkable potential for recovery. Kanat’s specializations include overall body relaxation, deep tissue work, stretching, and therapeutic massage. He firmly believes in tailoring each massage to the individualized needs of his clients, ensuring a personalized approach to wellness.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Kanat finds joy in nature, animals, travel, and delving into the depths of history. He treasures the company of his many friends and brings a holistic perspective to both his personal and professional life. With Kanat, clients not only experience skillful massage therapy but also a genuine commitment to their well-being and a passion for the art of healing.
